Response To The Brief

My response to the brief

I have chosen to complete the task of creating the titles and opening of a new fiction film. I have chosen this because it is a challenge that I will enjoy and because I have done a video production before and enjoyed every minute of it. 

Initial Ideas

My initial idea is to create a psychological thriller. I have chosen this because I believe that this sub-genre is over looked and that these types of films are incredible in falling the viewer to believe one thing when it was something else the whole and that it leaves the viewer tense and waiting for what is to happen next. This is an aspect I absolutely love. The target audience I am aiming for are from NRS Social Grade C2 to A. I believe that this covers the people who would be looking for a film that makes them think and immerse themselves into the complex universe of the film.

Inspiration

For my inspiration, I am focusing on the film Gone Girl and the film American Psycho. I am also drawing inspiration form the TV shows Dexter, Jessica Jones and Hannibal, especially on how it forces the viewer to think and question. and how it fulfills the Psychological Thriller genre very well.
